| About the Streamliner |
Designed in 1988 / Completed September 1990 |
| Original Intent |
To Break The Current (1990) F.I.A. International 5-Liter Record Of 298 Mph |
| Accomplishments |
- Exceeded the F.I.A> Record of 307 MPH (1992) by 50 MPH with an average speed 357.472 MPH, September 25, 1992
- BNI / USFRA Record C/BFS 306-372 CU.IN. 365 MPH, 1996 (Al Teague has since raised the record by .6 MPH )
- BNI / USFRA Record D/BFS 261-305 CU.IN. 358 MPH, 1992
- BNI / USFRA Record E/BFS 184-260 CU.IN. 348 MPH, 1995
|
| Secondary Goals |
- To be the first vehicle under 5-liters to exceed 400 mph.
- Our 300 cu.in. Motor on 40% nitro expected to run 405-410 mph.
- The current unlimited record is 409 mph.
- Note: Still think we could have done it, but the 45 year old motors have a hard time taking the punishment. 382 mph in 5 miles isn’t so bad.
